Worksheets Development According to Constructivist View of Learning in Physics Teaching Meaningful learning of science may be accomplished with active participation of students in learning activities with apropriate materials in classroom environment. The aim of this study was to develop worksheets related to the unit of energy at the second year of the high school and to evaluate their implementing processes. These worksheets were based on the constructivist view of learning. In the planning of the worksheets, two experts from at KTU Fatih Faculty of Education, and 6 experienced physics teachers three of which were in M Ed. program were asked to take their views into consideration. Five worksheets were designed by using the views expressed by the experts and teachers. Also, the related literature was taken into consideration. The pilot study was conducted with five students from the second year of the high school. The worksheets were redesigned according to the findings obtained from the pilot study. Then, they were implemented in a classroom with 23 students at an Anatolia Lycee in Trabzon by using individual and group work techniques. The implementation of the worksheets lasted in three weeks. The students were asked to fill in the worksheets in addition to the other activities during the implementation process. In addition, the behaviors such as, attitudes of the students toward the worksheets, their participation in the activities, and communication with each other and their teachers were observed. The implementation process was both video-taped and noted. After the implementation, the group-interviews were conducted with the classroom teacher and 17 randomized students about their views of the worksheets. Also, the worksheets filled in by students were examined with document analysis method. Moreover, the analysis of the lesson observations, students' and teachers' interviews, and completed worksheets showed that the worksheets were found very useful to make a habit for observing, measuring, obtaining results, and providing the first hand experience. In addition, they were also found useful for making the learning fun. For future studies, it was suggested that exploring the existing misconceptions and remedying them is a good direction.
