Abstract (EN)

Ceramic art which is one of the oldest crafts is dating from past to today. It is of great significance in terms of archeology. Thanks to ceramic founding it is much easier dating than other substance such as bronze and wood.Conservation means that to protect art works such as ceramic, painting, statue etc. for years. Restoration means that to restore the work without damaging to its art value and previous shape and to rehabilitee it.Our country has a marvelous cultural inheritance. For this reason, conservation and restoration value in our country which has many ancient cities. Unfortunately, there are few restoration and conservation laboratories at least. These processes are extremely expensive and difficult which are required patient. Thousands works are reserved under bad conditions at rooms. There are not many experts on this field.Foça (Phokaia) Ancient City is one of the important ancient cities. It was delivered 22 ceramic foundlings to the Museum of Izmir Archaeology by Prof. Dr. Ömer Özyiğit?s leadership who is lecturer of Ege Uni. The College of Literature, department of Archaeology twenty two works to the Museum of Archeology in Izmir.
