Abstract (EN)

Based on G.W.F Hegel's concept of freedom and reason, the idea of the state and the idea of human progress in history are discussed at the basis of all his thoughts within the scope of the philosophy of history by giving philosophical and concrete dimensions to human beings in world history. In this study, after discussing Hegel's world philosophy history as a whole and discussing the processes, the idea of the state, which is the final stage, has been tried to be discussed in the context of liberal democracy. This thesis is to discuss Fukuyama through liberal democracy, which Hegel described in the stages of civil society and state, and which he described as appropriate for his own German society. An attempt has been made to establish a relationship with Francis Fukuyama, who put the idea of liberal democracy at the end of history, taking into account the political and sociological processes that Hegel went through while reaching the state stage, which he determined as the last stage of the development of the individual/spirit. This thesis also tries to show that Hegel's idea of the state is compatible with Fukuyama's theories in terms of considering it as a necessary stage of history and seeing it as the final point that humanity can reach. Fukuyama, just like Hegel, put liberal democracy as the last stage of human development and progress, and in this thesis, the notion of the end of history has been tried to be discussed in the light of liberal democracy and state ideas.
