Algeria under the domination of France (1914-1954)

In the introduction part of my thesis, I studied the meaning and origin of the name Algeria, and which states and communities ruled in the first ages and during the period of İslamic domination and the crusades to North Africa.In the first part of my thesis, I studied Algeria under the domination of the Otoman Empire and I was interested in starting from XVI. century until XVIII. century.In the second part of my thesis, Igave general information about the events which happened after Algeria had gone under the domination of France and the resistance movements.In the third part of my thesis, studying the role of the Algerian people who took part on the side of France in the World War I. and the nationalist leaders who struggled for the independence after the war, I gave information about the place and importance of Ataturk on these leaders.In the fourth part of my thesis, after having studied the fact that the Algerian took part on the side of France in the World War II. for the second time and May Setif rebellion which broke out after the war, I deal with the French ruling in Algeria. I completed my thesis by putting result, bibliography and additions.
