Abstract (EN)
Security Perception of France and Its Military Interventions to African Countries in the Post - Colonial Period: A Critical Evaluation The main purpose of the thesis is to examine the visible and invisible reasons and the dark parts of the interventions by examining the military interventions made by France in the post-colonial period in the African continent, sometimes with the consequences of genocide, and to reveal the principles and application of the exploitation system that can be called post-modern colonialism, For this purpose, the security perception of France and its reflection on Africa have been examined first. Based on this, in the four written Security Strategy Documents of France called "White Book-Livre Blanc", an African-oriented examination of France's Security Strategy has been made in terms of purpose, means and method. When examined in terms of method, it was evaluated that France applied a method that can be defined as Post-Modern Colonialism (Françafrique). How this colonial model came to be and how it was applied, the place of military interventions in this practice and what kind of stages it went through were examined, and the Rwanda and Mali interventions taken as examples were examined in detail. In the examination, France has created logistics and education dependency by creating the armies of African countries, apart from its military power in Africa, with the activities it has carried out thanks to the military, political, socio-cultural organizations and institutions it has established in Africa since the decolonization period, and will be able to make a coup by creating instability, or a staff to prevent coups, an army, command and management staff and system that will act in the orbit of France and support its military power in Africa by creating financial dependence in the economic field. As a result, the field of activity described in the Thesis is that he applied a system of exploitation that can be called post-modern colonialism (Françafrique) and that military interventions are the most important means of this system and that the post-modern colonial system is created by creating and managing a different perception with a new policy. and it will continue with additional measures.
