Abstract (EN)
One of the most important poets of the 16th century, Fuzuli`s Turkish Divan, based on explaining the couplets in connection with the subject, was examined. When Fuzuli`s Turkish Divan was examined, the poet mentioned about both divine and human love, sometimes kept the pulse of the community, and uttered the shortcomings of the existing social order as a complaint. The term, 'despair' states helplessness, however, the term, 'curse' is a concept that states reproach, resentment, etc. The poet`s Turkish Divan was examined in the context of despair and curse. The study that was about despair and curse in Fuzuli`s Turkish Divan informed about primarily Fuzuli`s life, literary personality and works. The subject was examined in two parts. In the first part, the study informed about the term 'despair' in general and the poems chosen in Fuzuli`s Turkish Divan that related to despair. In the second part, the study informed about 'curse' in general, and explained the poems chosen in Fuzuli`s Turkish Divan related to curse. Couplet and other genres were classified and outlined according to the related terms. Each couplet and genre was explained in itself. Key Words: Fuzuli, Fuzuli`s Turkish Divan, Despair, Curse
