Abstract (EN)
Nowadays the most of energy used are obtained from natural sources like petroleum, natural gas, coal, wood etc. It is estimated that these sources are due to finish within 50-200 years. The increase of the world population and decrease of the petroleum reserves has directed the scientists to discover alternative energy sources and develop new machines for conversion of energy. In this study a y (gamma) type Stirling engine was designed and manufactured. The engine was tested in the temperature range 500-1000°C and the charge pressure range 1-3 bar. The speed-torque and speed-power characteristics of the engine was obtained at different charge pressure and heater temperatures. The maximum power was obtained at 1000°C heater temperature and 2 bar charge pressure as 21,46 Watts.Key Words Science Code Number of Pages Supervisor Stirling engine, Energy conversion, Rider engine
