Abstract (EN)
Social events leave deep traces in the inner world of individuals, creating the need to express their feelings and thoughts. Literature is one of the most important areas where this need is met. The fact that people have different beliefs, values and worldviews creates a rich variety in literary works. In addition to individuals expressing their own identities and beliefs, literature serves to reinforce the common values of society and pass them on to future generations. Literary genres such as stories, novels and poetry are among the most frequently used forms of expression for this purpose. Writers who keep their finger on the pulse of society reflect these problems in their works by being sensitive to the problems of the age they live in and contribute to the formation of social consciousness. Palestinian Ghassan Kenafani, who forms the basis of our subject, is one of these writers. In this study, the literary reflections of political and social struggles in modern Arabic literature are examined through his works. In his works, he deals with the difficulties experienced by the Palestinian people, such as occupation, exile and oppression, in a realistic and effective manner. In his works, the individual and social dimensions of the Palestinian issue are discussed in a wide range. Kenafani has added a universal dimension to his works by addressing not only the struggle of the Palestinian people but also the universal feelings and experiences of man. Themes such as heroism, patriotism, regret and social injustice are universal issues that frequently appear in the author's works and make the reader think. In our study, first of all, the history of Palestine and the development stages of literature and the novel in Palestine are discussed in general, and in the following sections, the author's life, literary and political aspects are discussed and introduced. In the last section, his novel ''al-Şeyu'l-Âhar/ Men Katele Leyla el-Hayek'' is examined in detail. While doing this, the summary and plot of the novel are given first, and then the characters/characters in the novel are examined in detail. In addition, the narrative styles in the novel are explained with examples. In addition, some examples of descriptions and similes that the author uses to make the narrative in his work more effective and vivid are also examined.
