Human and truth in al-Ghazali

Ghazali's philosophy contains two basic acceptances that can be agreed upon. The first acceptance is that the truth is one, unlimited and unchangeable. The second acceptance is that human beings, as living being in this world, are timely, limited and therefore changeable. The problem arises between these two terms. How can a finite and variable being know the truth that is boundless and unchangeable? Ghazali takes pretty serious this question. In fact, his discourse is shaped around this question between truth and human. As a matter of fact, Ghazali has been very concerned about what the mind cannot do as much as it what can do and why with a big sensitively. In other words, human beings are not only a rational being but also a being mistaken. So what is the possibility of such a being confronting the unchanging truth? In this respect, the thesis aims to find out what kind of attitude the Ghazali philosophy displays against the truth. It's on Ghazali epistemology. But not just has been put forward a philosopher epistemology. Also, ıt has been investigated this epistemology has what kind of a philosophy. The study consists of three parts. In the first part, analyzed what the truth and human are in Ghazali and between these two are what kind of problem arises. In the second part, was investigated how Ghazali offered a solution to this problem. In the last part, this solution is subject to re-reading from today's perspective.
