Researches on the Geometridae (Lepidoptera) fauna and systematic in Gaziantep province

This study based on the Geometridae (Lepidoptera) samples collected from Gaziantep province between 2009-2011 years.During the study collected 354 samples, 23 species belonging the 18 genera (Aspitates, Chiasmia, Dyscia, Neognopharmia, Aplasta, Phaıogramma, Proteuchloris, Aplocera, Camptogramma, Cosmorhoe, Costaconvexa, Eupithecia, Xanthorhoe, Protorhoe, Idaea, Problebsis, Rhodostrophia, Scopula) in 4 subfamilies (Ennominae, Geometrinae, Larentiinae, Sterrhinae) were recorded in Gaziantep province.Identification keys for subfamilies, genera and species of specimens collected from the study region were constructed and morphological characters of the species were presented together with the adult and genitalia illustrations. In addition host plants, zoogeographic distributions and regional distributions are given for each species.Because of there is not a comprehensive study from Gaziantep province belonging the Geometridae family, most of species is new record from the region. This thesis is the first comprehensive study in the area so it will assist to determine Turkey Geometridae fauna.
