Abstract (EN)

Zeynep Kamil Hospital's historical architectural style, location and history were preserved and the preservation of value for future generations was examined. Turkey and hospitals worldwide, is based on the comparison of the building. In the first chapter introduction, purpose, scope and method of project are introduced and brief information is explained. In the second chapter, the definition of historical structures under the heading of history structure concept, the value concepts in which historical structures are possessed are explained and the concepts of protection of historical structures in terms of legislation are explained. In this section international legislation and national legislation are defined and explained. In the third chapter, the concept of restoration is defined, contemporary theories of restoration are explained, and restoration techniques are explained with examples. In the fourth chapter, definition of hospital concept, classification and planning are explained. This chapter has been examined within the scope of standardization of architectural elements in hospital structures. In the fifth chapter, it was tried to determine the types of intervention required for the restoration of Zeynep Kamil Hospital and to determine the most appropriate options about the unknown of the original state of the construction. Structural effects of the building before and after the restoration were examined. The sixth part is the conclusion part of the thesis work.
