Abstract (EN)
I aimed to create a memory in our retrospective mind, starting with yarn, covering all the stages of production from knitting to sweater, giving the reader information about knitting in the past. Information is given about the formation of the textile and knitwear industry in the world and Turkey, in the formation of this history has been studied to develop a more robust global perspective. A thesis aiming to give detailed information about this journey from knitting to sweater is presented by giving examples of the development processes of knitting machines.
