Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted to determine the basic elements affecting football performance by comparing the motoric characteristics exhibited by young football players in different positions. A total of (n=30) male football players competing in the academy league in Turkey in the 16-year-old category participated in this study voluntarily. The football players participating in the study were divided into two groups (A and B) and were asked to come to the tests on different days. Height, body weight, 30 m speed, jumping and repeated sprint tests were applied to group A on the 1st day. 505 agility and 30-15 IFT test protocols were applied on the 2nd day. The tests of group B lasted 2 days as in group A. The order was repeated in the same way. In addition to the height, body weight and BMI (kg/m2) measurements of the football players, 30-meter speed, agility, lower extremity leg strength, VO2max, vertical jump and anaerobic power performance parameter tests were applied to evaluate the motoric characteristics depending on the characteristics of the positions the football players were in on the field and the data were analyzed. Shapiro-Wilk test was applied to determine the normality distribution of the obtained data. One way anova test was applied to compare the performance parameters of 3 positions together with the normal distribution of the data. The analysis of the data in the study was done in SPSS (24) package program. According to the research findings, it was determined that there was no significant difference in the 30-meter speed, agility, lower extremity leg strength, VO2max, vertical jump, average anaerobic power and relative peak power values of the football players according to the position. As a result, when the average values of the findings of the research applied to the 16-year-old young football players are examined, it is revealed that the agility, 30-meter speed, vertical jump, leg strength, average anaerobic power, maximum-minimum power and fatigue index parameters of the defensive players have developed according to the performance of the midfield and attacking players.
