Abstract (EN)
This research was conducted to examine the relationship between codependency, attachment styles and psychological mindedness. In addition, it was checked whether there was a significant difference between psychological mindedness, attachment styles and co-dependency levels according to sociodemographic characteristics. In this context, Codependency Assessment Tool, Experiences in Close Relationships-Revised (ECR-R), Psychological Mindedness Scale and Socio-demographic Information Form were presented to the participants. The sample group of the research consists of adult individuals between the ages of 18-65. In this context, data was obtained with the contribution of a total of 421 volunteer participants, 344 women, 77 men. The data obtained from the research were analyzed using the SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) for Windows 25.0 program. Descriptive statistical methods (number, percentage, min-max values, mean and standard deviation) were used to evaluate the data and "Reliability Analysis" was used to test the reliability of the scale. Kurtosis and skewness values were examined to ensure the data's suitability for normal distribution. The relationship between continuous variables was examined by performing Spearman correlation analysis, and the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable was examined by applying multiple linear regression analysis. As a result of the analyses, it was determined that there was a statistically significant negative relationship between Codependency and Psychological Mindedness and its sub-dimensions. There is a positive significant relationship between Codependency and the Anxious attachment sub-dimension, and a negative relationship with the Avoidant attachment sub-dimension. A negative relationship was found between the Psychological Mindedness, Insight and Interest sub-dimensions and the Anxious attachment sub-dimension, and a positive relationship was found between it and the Avoidant attachment sub-dimension. As a result of the regression analysis, it is seen that the Avoidance, Anxiety, Insight and Interest sub-dimensions cause a significant effect on Codependency. Detailed information about the results of the research was examined in the findings and discussion section.
