Abstract (EN)

This study aimed to examine technology addiction, emotional reactivity, and psychological resilience in young adults. The research was conducted with 472 young adults aged 18–25. The Technology Addiction Scale, the Emotional Reactivity Scale, and the Psychological Resilience Scale for Adults were used as data collection instruments. Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient, Independent Samples t-Test, and PROCESS Macro (Model 4) methods were used in the analysis of the data. The research findings showed a significant positive correlation between technology addiction and emotional reactivity, a significant negative correlation between technology addiction and psychological resilience, and a significant negative correlation between emotional reactivity and psychological resilience. The results of the mediation analysis revealed that emotional reactivity played a mediating role in the relationship between technology addiction and psychological resilience. Furthermore, it was determined that male participants had higher scores for technology addiction and psychological resilience, while female participants had higher scores for emotional reactivity. Individuals who struggle to make important life decisions were found to have higher levels of technology addiction and emotional reactivity and lower levels of psychological resilience.
