Abstract (EN)

The main aim of the study is to determine effects of ethical leadership behaviors of high schools and vocational high schools principals on perception of social justice. The survey has been carried out among teachers and principals who work there.  Thus, a questionnaire form, which includes 84 questions (46 items for ethical leadership, 38 items for social justice), was developed. Data were collected from 82 principals and 1195 teachers working in high school and vocational high schools located in Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, Elazığ, Iğdır, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya and Tunceli cities. Collected data were analyzed using Percent, Frequency, Mean, t‐Test, ANOVA and Canonical Correlation Analysis. Results of the study indicate that the principals find themselves as successful in the roles of ethical leadership while teachers do not find them entirely successful in solving the ethical dilemmas and deciding ethically and in the trust based leadership. In addition, principals much more strongly believe than teachers do that social justice in schools is maintained. According to the Canonic Correlation Analysis, a very high correlation was found between ethical leadership behaviors of school principals and perception of social justice in schools. Consequently, it can be said that ethical leadership behaviors of principals are positively related to perception of social justice in schools.  Keywords: ethics, ethical leadership, social justice.
