Abstract (EN)
Optical solitons is one of most important areas of research in telecommunication industry. Without solitons, this entire industry will come to a total standstill. Therefore, it is imperative to take a deeper look into this area. This study revisits the study of cubic-quartic optical solitons in birefringent fibers having Kudryashov's law of nonlinear refractive index. The extended version of direct algebraic approach retrieves a spectrum of solitons that are written in terms of generalized hyperbolic functions. Three special cases of the power-law nonlinearity parameter are taken into consideration. Dark, singular, combo dark-singular and combo-singular optical solitons are revealed along with their existence criteria. Several other solutions to the model including complexiton solutions and periodic singular solutions are also presented. The numerical simulations support these analytical findings.
