Abstract (EN)
Environmentally friendly and sustainable production approaches in textile production have gained importance in our country as well as all over the world. The use of recycled fibers is receiving increasing attention in the market as one of the environmentally friendly production methods in textiles. It is expected that products produced using recycled fibers in textile products will perform close to products using new fibers and provide customer satisfaction. The production of bed sheet fabrics, which are one of the basic textile products, with the use of recycled cotton, attracts attention as a type of product that attracts attention in the market. In this thesis study, Open End weft yarn was used in three different blend ratios (65% new cotton/35% recycled cotton, 55% new cotton/35% recycled cotton/10% new poliester and 100% new cotton) in number Ne 8/1. Three types of plain fabric produced using Ne20/1 Open End rotor yarn produced from 100% new cotton fiber as rotor yarn and warp yarn were studied. These sample fabrics, produced on an industrial scale, were produced without raising, with one turn of raising and with two turns of raising, in order to examine the effect of the raising process on the physical properties of the fabric. Tear strength, tensile strength, thickness, pilling, dimensional stability, circular bending stiffness, air permeability and fabric water vapor permeability tests were applied to nine different sample fabrics obtained after production. Fabric performance measurement results were statistically evaluated by two-way analysis of variance method. The effects of fiber contents and raising degree, which are independent variables, on fabric bending stiffness, tensile strength, air permeability and water vapor permeability, which are dependent variables, were examined.
