Abstract (EN)
Entrepreneurship can be described as realizing the opportunities around us, turning this opportunities into projects, putting these projects into practice and having a skill of producing wealth. A variety of features are defined for successful entrepreneurs. As well as an individual may have entrepreneurship spirit in their genes, the factors such as family, professions of family, environment and education are important for entrepreneurship spirit. In fact, entrepreneurship in 21st century's world is a topic which is being highly emphasized and is being remarked as a driving power of social welfare and economic development. A lot of studies in literature have been accomplished for identifying entrepreneurs and spotting the qualifications that distinguish them from other people. Accordingly, this study is aimed to empirically test the effect of entrepreneur personality traits on entrepreneurship intent of senior students at university. Alongside this aim, it has been designated to be sub goal that is analyzing the differences between demographic variables and entrepreneurship intent. The seniors students of Fırat University located in center of Elazığ make up the population of this study 3643 students study in Fırat University by January 2019. Because of the difficulties in reaching target population, target has been narrowed down and definition of population has been done according to random method.. It has been thought that reachable population will represent approximately 506 students. Quantitative method of research has been used in this study V and data has been obtained through face-to-face survey technique in the study. Main analysis used in the study are descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, T test, one-way analysis of variance (anova) and regression analysis. As a result of the study, it has been concluded to be correct to accept the entrepreneur personality traits are low (X̅=3,22; ss=0,47) and entrepreneurship intents are high (X̅=3,44; ss=1,06). It has been detected that entrepreneur personality traits has a meaningful and positive effect on entrepreneurship intents. Entrepreneur personality traits may effect entrepreneurship intents at the rate of %19 (r=0,438; R2=0,192; p<0,000). Besides this, it has been detected that there is a meaningful difrrence between demographic variables such as the condition of having someone entrepreneur in the family or in the faculty and taking entrepreneurship class, and entrepreneurship intents.
