Abstract photography and applications as background and background material in graphic design

In the divisiont of this study, in grafic desing products that have been appeared in Germany in 20th century "Gestald" pricibles have been discussed with its all components in the light of visual perception. Gestalt principles which have an invaluable validity in most of the visual arts, are also analyzed and explanations are made on the figure-ground relationship which is an important component. In the second divisition of that study, background and background demonstrations are necessary for the complete and clear perception of the message in a graphic design product which have been evaluated. Color and texture titles have been focused in those evaluations. Reflection of color and texture demostrations of paint art towards art of history have been mentioned and the preferences of this context how effects message and sense have been explained with examples. In third division of this study was based on the relationship between graphic design and photography. The function of photography in a design and its demostration forms, which are the basic elements of many graphic design products, were evaluated; The subject has been examined in detail with related examples. In the fourth divison, an abstract photography was focused as background material and phon and explained with its relevant examples. The types and techniques of abstract photography which is one of the genres that is the closest perspective to the concept of graphic design's genres and techniquies have been examined. Each items are analyzed as an example through all photographs. After the theoretical knowledge and sample analysis, Cemal Ekinci who wrote thesis over the logic of producing abstract photographs and via those studies he contributed some theories to the siciece. The interview with Cemal Ekinci is in the third division. Fith division of this study is the last division of the researchs and evaluations of the whole study are finalized and the Works have been produced and sampled. In this division totally 13s posters have been prepared for the foundation. For each posters and their backgrounds have been taken abstract photographs in the light of the subjects which have been examined previously. During the design phase, 10 of the photographs have been used without any touch and the rest of 5 photograpsh have been designed to create various alternatives in color and texture. In this way, the changes have been revealed which the cause of only using phon, can effect the visual perception.
