Abstract (EN)
Graphic design plays a significant role in the efforts of activist movements to raise social awareness and drive change. The animal rights movement effectively utilizes graphic design tools to improve the living conditions of animals and foster ethical transformation. This study examines the role of creative elements in poster design in enhancing communication power and conveying messages effectively. Graphic design emerges as a vital tool for amplifying the ethical messages of the animal rights movement, enabling it to reach broader audiences and inspire action. The historical development of the animal rights movement spans from early awareness campaigns to innovative communication strategies in the digital era. Digital platforms and social media enhance the power of graphic design, allowing for the rapid dissemination of messages and fostering engagement among audiences. In this context, campaigns supported by creative graphic design and impactful textual elements play a central role in cultivating social sensitivity. Elements such as color, typography, and visual hierarchy in poster design strengthen the messages of the animal rights movement and contribute to strategies aimed at fostering empathy. The emotional connotations of colors, the alignment of typography with the message, and the facilitation of message comprehension through visual hierarchy enhance the effectiveness of posters. Creative designs and metaphorical approaches not only inform the audience but also encourage them to think critically and take action. This study evaluates the impact of graphic design in the animal rights movement from a social change perspective, addressing both the visual and semantic dimensions of poster design. The findings reveal that graphic design is not merely a form of aesthetic expression but also a powerful tool for creating social awareness and driving change. The study underscores the role of creative and strategic designs as an effective communication platform in animal rights advocacy.
