Abstract (EN)
ÖZTÜRK, Rukiye. According To Greek And Latin Sources, Military Culture Of The Scythians, Sarmatians And European Huns (5th century B.C. - 6th century A.D.), Master Thesis, Ankara, 2007. Scythians, Sarmatians and European Huns are very important in ?mounted civilizations culture?. These peoples with their equipments, tactics and ways of war formed a military organization special to themselves. Their military culture consisted on the axis of bow and arrow. These people combined two important war equipment like horse an bow with a special way and also they udes them wonderfully. Due to that they could have superiority upon habitated peoples. In that study it is purposed that military culture of the Scythians, Sarmatians And European Huns is examined detail. We have no written sources belonging to mentioned peoples. So, informations that synchronous peoples with them gaved, is very important. Using Greek and Latin sources between V.th century B.C and VI.th century A.D. which mentions related peoples, this thesis was complated.
