Abstract (EN)

Islam is the last religion that contains orders and recommendations for people to achieve happiness in this world and the hereafter. Its main sources are the Quran and the Sunnah. First of all, the Quran accepts women as humans as equal to men. Islam has made important regulations to improve the social, economic and legal position of women in a society where the understanding of women as second-class citizens prevails. In order to understand the value that Islam gives to women, it is necessary to look at the position of women in the family and society in different parts of the world and in conflicting religions in the pre-Islamic period. The rights that Islam provides to women cannot be understood in some periods and societies, especially in our age, when viewed from today's conditions. Because today, individuals of a society raised with a secular worldview and the values of modernity, feminists and modernists, are trying to understand from their vantage point another system (Islam) that they did not grow up in, did not live in, and only assumed to have knowledge of, and they fall into error. Apart from subjectivity, the criticisms of those who criticize the Quran's perspective on women have revealed the mistakes and deficiencies they generally made in terms of method. Not taking into account the historical and social conditions surrounding the verses, not taking into account the reasons for the revelation of the verses of the Quran, removing some expressions from the Quran and abstracting them from the text, always understanding the verses in their apparent meaning; ignoring stylistic features such as metaphor, allusion, simile, encouragement and disincentive etc. Mistakes actually constitute the main reasons for mistakes made not only regarding women but also on other issues. The position of women has varied throughout the historical process. With the advent of Islam, revolutionary innovations took place in every aspect of life. Those who benefited most from these innovations were women, who constitute more than half of the society and whose rights were taken away under various excuses. There is no doubt that Islam has made radical changes in the social status of women in Arab society
