Abstract (EN)

Because of the increasing energy consumption in all countries of the world day by day, demand and interest in renewable energy sources are increasing at the same rate. The ideal usage of existing energy and searching different energy sources have been an important field of study for countries. In our country, which is lucky in terms of solar energy potential, studies in this field are continuing. At the beginning, a general literature review about solar energy has been done within the scope of this thesis. Research and development studies from the discovery of photovoltaic technology to the present, system components, advantages and disadvantages are explained in detail. Within the scope of this thesis, optimum slope angles for solar panels to be installed in Bursa were obtained, and monthly, seasonal and annual change of these optimum angles are investigated. Cooling effect of wind to cell temperature, generated electrical energy and efficiency of photovoltaic panels that installed with the optimum angle are investigated with the simulation program. As a result, it has been identified that the maximum solar radiation from the solar panels comes when the solar panel is positioned at the optimum angle of inclination per month. It has determined that highest amount of electricity generated from solar panels was generated in July, lowest amount was in January. And also the panel efficiency values were highest in January, lowest in August. It has been identified that the effect of air temperature value on panel efficiency was higher than the wind speed for Bursa.
