Abstract (EN)

In this study, a hybrid energy station converting solar and wind energies to electrical energy has been designed and implemented. The energy obtained from solar and wind is stored in the battery groups, and can be transferred to loads on demand. In case of the batteries are fully charged, the produced energy is either transferred to the loads directly or transferred to the power grid to achieve continuous energy generation. Thus, the produced energy is stored in the batteries as well as used by the loads, and also it is sold to grid by means of transferring it to grid. When the batteries are fully discharged and the energy is not generated, the energy required for loads is provided from the power grid. Hence, bidirectional continuous power flow is ensured in both directions between the power station and the power grid. For this reason, two amplifier converters have been designed to collect electrical energy obtained from both wind turbine and solar panels on the same direct current (DC) line as well as orienting the energy to loads by the aid of inverter. The amplifier converters have been designed according to operate in parallel among them and also to execute Maximum Power Tracking process in order to hold the output power at the maximum level continuously. Both converters are controlled by a microcontroller, voltages and currents data of the system are also evaluated from it. Furthermore, a solar tracking mechanism and control units have been designed to efficiently generate the energy obtained from solar panels. Additionally, a number of communication modules have been designed to communication parts of the system as well as to record the system data continuously. Thus, efficiency of the system has been analyzed using current, voltage, power and energy values recorded as daily, weekly and monthly.
