Abstract (EN)
Today, South Korea has emphasized the importance of cultural content for the national economy. The spread of South Korean cultural contents to the world with the idea of Global Korea is taken as an example by many countries today. The use of cultural industries as a kind of soft power, public diplomacy and foreign policy is very important for the attractiveness of individuals to the country. In this thesis, South Korea, which was colonized by Japan and later divided due to the Cold War, is among the most important economies in the world from the status of a postcolonial country. The way the cultural contents spread to the world and the way of existence in South Korea is quite different compared to other countries, it is systematic. In this study, attention was drawn to the purpose and means of the concept of culture industry created by South Korea.
