Abstract (EN)
As a result of the development and growth of the industry since the 20th century, and because of upcycling and recycling objects gaining a place in our daily lives within the production-consumption balance, most of the contemporary artists began to give importance to assemblage works by making use of two-dimensional collage art products and three-dimensional found objects, using waste materials while designing their worksAs waste materials became unusable and objects began to enter the process of transformation in nature, efforts were made to seek solutions to the problems of the concept of garbage. Some artists have given more importance to using waste objects or waste materials that contribute to the expression of the concepts in their works and help to give meaning and accelerate the art phenomenon with their own expressive designs. It is thought that in modern art, artists will contribute to both the environmental problem and the waste recycling cycle with collage and assemblage art products. We can see that these innovative solutions offer a modern perspective by offering a solution to all living creatures and species. With this research topic, the creation processes of important artists who took part in modern art with upcycle and recycling methods were examined, and the works of artists who created works from recyclable waste objects and materials were discussed in detail.
