Abstract (EN)

Goddess forms in Anatolia, iconographs trying to spreed the Christian belifs in Europe, marble statues on the Greek peninsula… What El Greco during the Manierist period,Rembrant during the Barok times, Rodin in the 19th century and Kitaj, Bacon and Freudduring the 20th century had in common is the human being. When looked at form a wideperspektive, subtopics may differ, it is not surprizing that they meet at the human centre. Wecan actually say that, regardless of culture, belief geography and age differenes the humanbeing has been the ultimate subject in every aspect of art. While man once Express himself onthe walls or caves, he now has a wider choise of material to Express himself. Althoughdisiplines, fashion and movements may change the human model, it will never loose its placeand importance in art.It can be observed that the theme of naked bodies has experienced great changes in the lastcenturies. The artist who choose the human body as his theme starts off with aesthetic aims. The human body is the most aesthetic, the most attractive and the most interesting organizm. Some use the human body to make social critiques and some use it to Express emotions. Withthe changing views of the artist the human body has been the main or subtheme of art in arthistory, and continuing to keep its valve.
