An examination on Güven Adıgüzel's poems

While Güven Adıgüzel's adventure as a poet, which started in his high school years, continued with the poems he published in various magazines, his book collection of poems dates back to the 2000s. Besides his scripts, Adıgüzel has five poetry books and nine essays. This study consists of three parts: Introduction; About Güven Adıgüzel's life, literary personality, and works; and Examination of Güven Adıgüzel's Poems. Under the third part of the study titled Examination of Güven Adıgüzel Poems, subtitles such as image, language and style, themes, and intertextuality are included. In his poems where criticism of modern life comes to the fore, ten themes such as love, separation, loneliness, death, child(hood), mother, father, elements of belief, and history come to the fore. The poet refers to many texts and names in his poems with methods such as epigraph, quotation, hidden quotation, referent, and pastiche, First New Movement influence in his first poems and Second New Movement influence in his last poems are felt.
