The role of art history information in art department of Fine Arts and Sports High School students' artistic expressions (The case of Diyarbakir and Gaziantep provinces)

The main objective of this research, studying the painting department of Fine Arts and Sports High School 12th grade students knowledge of art history to determine the role of students in their artistic expression. Most of this role to determine the knowledge of art history studies, workshops reference application identified as the curriculum in Two-Dimensional Art Studio and Art History; investigated within the framework of the activities and achievements.In case of problems, and to determine issues arising from the survey to measure students, teachers administered interview form. Students and teachers reflected on the occasion of opinions on these forms; art historical knowledge of the effect of artistic expression, the operation of Art History course, the implementation of discipline-based art education and the quality of art education in these schools.In this study, teachers and students opinions of Fine Arts and Sports College, have set the universe. In this study as the sample universe of Diyarbakir Fine Arts and Sports High School and Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce Fine Arts Sports High School students and teachers were selected.There are 11 questions to teachers in the form of the interview. There are 25 questions in the questionnaire administered to students.As a result of these forms of artistic expressions reflect students' knowledge of art history was acquired. Two-Dimensional Art Studio works most of the echo was recorded. In addition, History of art education were also developed in the expressive power of terminological most teachers are realized that combining the disciplines of the opinion that art education efficiently. However, some teachers are not aware of a multiple-field method and this method does not use Art Education.According to the results obtained at the end of the research, formed the foundations of art education in Fine Arts and Sports High Schools, History of Art course 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th classes distributed in a balanced way, knowledge of art history, taking into consideration the result of a positive effect on artistic expression that will accomplish it, such as Multiple-Field Method of Art Education teachers teach and the use of modern educational approaches are proposed.
