Abstract (EN)

In this study, the transcription and evaluation of the Shar'iyya Record of Harput county dated H.1089-1093/M.1678-1682 (p.1-124) was made. In the study, firstly, after giving information about the judicial organization and the institution of kadı, sharia courts and court records (shar'iyya records) in the Ottoman state, the documents in the registry, which is the subject of our review, are summarized, and their classification and general evaluation are made according to their subjects. Afterwards, the transcription text is inculued. In the Harput Shari'ah Registry, which is the subjectof our review, there are some issues such as purchase and sale, inheritance, appointment of a guardian, property dispute, grant, change of denomination, tax, theft, murder, assault, marriage, grooming, etc. There are records containing the subjects and copies of documents such as edict, berat, commanded. The registry contains information about the status of the Harput Sanjak on the dates we examined. It is the period of Mehmed IV. and the first Ottoman- Russian War broke out. The grand vizier of the period was Kara Mustafa Pasha from Merzifon. During this time, he participated in the Siege of Vienna. This period (1682) ended by making a twenty year agreement with the Russians. Key Words: Harput, Shar'iyyah Record, Kadi, Court Records.
