Abstract (EN)

Bayındır, which is a district of Izmir today, was an place of the Izmir Sanjak of Aydın Province during the Ottoman period. In Evliya Çelebi Travel Papers, where the name Bayındır comes from, it is stated that"Orhan Gazi Bayındıran took this name because he placed his people here."While Bayındır was a village during the Fatih period, Century, it appears as an accident. When we look at the population register of H.1257/M .1842, "Transcription and Evaluation of Civil Registers for Month B (NFS.d..2995)", which is my study, we see the demographic structure and professions of the period. Bayındır consisted of 9 neighborhoods and 27 beds in the 1842 census. When we examine the book, we encounter many occupational groups of the accident. When we look at Aydın Province Salnames, we see that while various agricultural products such as olives, cotton, barley and grapes are planted in Bayındır, the boiler is an important source of commercial and agricultural products because these products were exported from Izmir port, especially olive oil. Therefore, the contributions of the population registers in seeing the life and progress of the region cannot be ignored. KEY WORDS: Bayındır, İzmir, Population registers.
