Abstract (EN)
In1300, Ottoman Empire which was founded as a small beylik(Ghazi principality), expanded over three continents in 17th century and until the end of the 17th century it kept being a major part of the World political sphere on shape land and sea. The Ottoman Empire had kept the dominance against Europe for many years , but it lagged behind with beginning of the geographic discoveries, and got a drubbing on military unit. The reason of defat was thought because of military therefore it was committed military reforms. In this study we aimed to enlighten of the military academy which was formed to educate the army officer in 1835. In this study, it was mentioned the period of the administration of the army, the curriculum of General Staff, the field Manuel of platoons, ammunition used in army, the system of dress in General Staff and orders in Military academy. Almost all of this study was based on the magazine called Risale-i Mevkute-i Harbiyye and the information in magazine was supported with books, dictionaries, articles etc. contributed with the study.
