Abstract (EN)
In recent years, the subject of green chemistry has gained increasing attention and acceptance from researchers in both industry and academia. Greening of chemical production, purification and analysis technologies has become increasingly important. Chromatographic methods are also a field of chemistry that needs to be greened. In this direction; Shortening the used analysis method, and the use of less toxic solvents in the mobile phase is some of the important steps to be taken. Although the method cannot be completely greened in order to minimize the damage to the environment and the analyst and at the same time to reduce waste disposal costs in industrial studies, partial improvements are important steps taken for the purpose. Histamine is a nitrogen compound in the body that stimulates the soft muscles in different organs and allows them to contract. However, it is also responsible for stimulating acid secretion in the stomach. In this thesis proposal, H2 receptor antagonists, including famotidine, ranitidine and cimetidine, which are intended to develop pharmaceutical analysis methods, are molecules that reduce the release of acid in these cells by blocking the effect of histamine in the gastric parietal cell. These drugs are used to treat dyspepsia. It is hypothesized that by using a "green" and non-toxic mixture of ethanol and water in predetermined/specified ratios instead of the toxic diluents used in the mobile phases of conventional chromatography methods, green chromatography could be achieved. This thesis aims to develop and validate an analysis method for pharmaceutical preparates containing famotidine and ranitidine with high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), using said green mixture as the mobile phase.
