II ABSTRACT MASTER THESIS THE EXPECTATIONS OF PEOPLE AROUND THE RELIGION (As An Example of Erzurum/Oltu) Mustafa MACİT Supervisor : Doç.Dr. Niyazi USTA 2001-PAGE:69 Jury : Doç.Dr. Niyazi USTA : Doç. Dr. Ali Rafet ÖZKAN : Yrd. Doç. Dr. Zeki İŞCAN In this our exam we have tried to determine some expectations of people around the religion (as an example of Erzurum-Oltu ) and influential factors on this expectations. Conclusion of this exam we saw that,the religion, as a social institution, is in an interaction with society, social phenomenons and other social institutions.Therefore the religion is an influential factor on this expectations of people with other social-cultural factors.
