Abstract (EN)

In this study, the existing habitat structures and ornithological potentials of Akdoğan (Hamurpet) and Haçlı Lakes located in Fırat-Dicle Basin and Nazik Lake located in Van Lake Basin have been researched. As a result of the research carried out in the vicinity of Akdoğan Lakes, 103 species belonging to 14 ordo and 33 families were identified. Of these species, 36.9 % (n: 38) were resident, 60.2 % (n: 62) were immigrants and 2.9 % (n: 3) were transit migrants. 117 species and 1 subspecies belonging to 14 ordos and 34 families were identified in Haçlı Lake and its vicinity. Of these species, 35.6 % (n: 42) were resident, 52.5 % (n: 62) were immigrants, 10.2 % (n: 12) were winter visitors and 1.7 % (n: 2) were transit migrants. A total of 110 species belonging to 14 ordo and 33 families were found in Nazik Lake and its vicinity. Of these, 41 % (n: 45) were resident, 48.1 % (n: 53) were migrants, 8.2 % (n: 9) were winter visitors and 2.7 % (n: 3) were transit migrants. According to IUCN criteria; In the Akdoğan lakes, while Saker Falcon (Falco cherrug) EN (Endangered), Van Lake gull (Larus armenicus) and Lapwing (Vanellus vanellus) is in NT status (in the near future in threat), in the Haçlı Lake, Van Lake gull (Larus armenicus), Lapwing (Vanellus vanellus) and Meadow Pipit (Anthus pratensis) is in NT status (in the near future in threat), and Pochard (Aythya ferina) and Turtle Dove (Streptopelia turtur) is in the status of VU (Sensitive) and in the Nazik Lake, Egyptian vulture Neophron percnopterus is in EN (Endangered) status, Van Lake gull (Larus armenicus) and Lapwing (Vanellus vanellus) is in the status of NT (in the near future in threat) and Pochard (Aythya ferina) and Turtle Dove (Streptopelia turtur) species were found in the VU (Sensitive) category. Within the scope of this study, habitat and population distribution maps were prepared by using digital maps and geographical information systems of habitat and ecological features.
