Abstract (EN)
It is the first work that tells the heroism of Hz Hamza, who was the uncle and milk brother of Hz Muhammad (pbuh), through mythical stories. This work, which became widespread among the Arabs after the martyrdom of Hz. Hamza, is known as Sîretü Ḥamza, Esmârü'l-Ḥamza in Arabs; Kıṣṣa-i Emîr Ḥamza, Kitâb-ı Rümûz-ı Ḥamza, Dâstân-ı Emîr Ḥamza in Iranians; Hamzanâme in Turks. The written historical development of Turkey Turkish starts from the XIIIth century in Anatolia. This period, called Old Anatolian Turkish, Old Turkish or Old Oghuz Turkish, is the written language that Oghuz Turks established and developed according to their own dialectal characteristics in the XIIIth and XVth centuries. Hamzanâme, which was first written by Hamzavî and is one of the works of the period when Old Anatolian Turkish showed the feature of being a written language, is an important source for Old Anatolian Turkish period studies. We have identified three copies of the fifty-third volume of Hamzanâme, the first of which is Hamzanâme (volume 53), Istanbul University Central Library, Department of Antiquities, no: 1110, 220 folios, 1142 (1726). Hamzanâme (53rd volume), Istanbul Fatih Millet Library, Ali Emiri Ef. Books, Nu: 104, 225 varaks, 1268 (1852). The third copy is the 53rd volume of Hamzanâme, which is registered in the Rare Works Library of Istanbul University Faculty of Literature. In this study, we will examine the third copy of this manuscript, which consists of 143 varays. The study consists of four parts: introduction, conceptual framework, findings-interpretations and conclusion. In the introduction, general information about Hamza-nāme volumes and the content of the 53rd volume of Hamza-nāme is given. The aim, importance and method of the study are explained. In the second part, Hamza-nâmes, Hamzavî and the form and content features of the 53rd volume of Hamza-nâme are mentioned. Volume 53 is summarised in this section. As an evaluation and study proposal, the phenomenality motifs of Hamzanâme 53rd volume are given by using the criteria of the phenomenality article in Thompson's Folk Literature Motif Index. The third part, the findings and comments section, includes the orthographic features of the study, the transcribed text, the contextual index and functional dictionary, and the index of proper names. Spelling features and transcribed text are given in accordance with the language features of the Old Anatolian Turkish period and by being faithful to the text. In the conclusion section, the data obtained are presented.
