Abstract (EN)

The importance of nectarine gradually increasing due to high demand in both domestic and foreign markets. This research aims that determine the effects of metal jasmonat (MeJA) applications pre and post harvest during storage on quality of nectarines 'Extreme® Globe (563)'. Pre-harvest applications; a) Control b) 0.5 mM c) 1.0 mM d) 1.5 mM, harvested fruits were divided into 2 groups, each group was immersed in a 20°C solution containing 0.2 mM MeJA for 120 seconds and the control group was immersed in water. In the study MA packages were used, their mouths were closed after pre-cooling. Fruits were stored at 0 ± 0.5 ° C and 90-95% relative humidity for 8 weeks. After the packages were taken out in 14 day intervals, they were kept at shelf life conditions (at 20 ° C and 60-70% RH) for 2 days and the quality changes were determined. Pre and post harvest MeJa applications have increasing effects on fruit weight, fruit flesh stiffness, collection of phenol quantity; and decrasing effects on fruit flesh a* index. The effects of MeJa applications were insignificant on fruit width, height, weight loss, fruit color, acidity, ph value, deterioration. Pre harvest and post harvest interaction was not significant in all studied storage periods; however, it was determined that post-harvest applications had a statistically significant effect on the storage life of the fruits. Key words: Nectarine, shelf life, MeJA, storage, map, quality
