Abstract (EN)

From past to present, health care systems around the world occasionally unintentionally harm patients who come to them for help. In health institutions that have quality standards and safety programs and implement them, it is seen that the safety culture has improved and the harm done to patients has decreased. In order to increase patient safety in health institutions, first of all, a patient safety culture should be established. Staff perceptions that support maintaining patient safety emerge as an important criteria. The population of the research is health workers. In this study, Eskişehir Yunus Emre Hospital health workers (350 personnel) constitute the population of the research. The sample consisted of 183 people working as health professionals. The aim of the study is to evaluate whether the perception of patient safety culture of health professionals working at Eskişehir Yunus Emre Hospital differs according to the units they work in and whether they make a report or not, and whether it differs according to their socio-demographic characteristics. The Patient Safety Culture Hospital questionnaire, which was developed by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality-AHRQ to determine the patient safety culture in hospitals, was used as a data collection tool.
