The relationship between health services provided in public hospitals and health centers wi̇th the patient satisfaction: A research in Gaziantep province

Recent days have shown that healthcare has a direct impact not only on the health of citizens, but also on the economy of countries as well. After the spread of the Corona Virus (COVID-19) and its threat to the health of the whole public, the importance of the quality of health care in every country in the world and how it is related to the economy of each country has emerged. However, good health care improves the welfare of the citizens and contributes directly to keeping the society safe and secure as well as protects the economy of the country. It is also closely related to the level of scientific research in the healthcare sector, because these days we live in are not free from an infectious disease that could threaten the existence of society as a whole. A healthy society that can cure diseases is a strong society that can continue production and keep the economy running. In order to know how to measure the quality of health care, it is necessary to measure the level of customer (patient) satisfaction with the health service provided, this is the best proof of the quality of the health service because the quality of healthcare services and patient satisfaction are closely related. Therefore, it is important to complete this study. Gaziantep province is considered a crowded city. This is a study aiming to determine the perceived health service quality and satisfaction of patients treated in state hospitals and health centers in this province. In this study, a questionnaire form was filled in with the participation of 1120 of patients benefiting from Gaziantep University Hospital, 25 December State Hospital and two health centers. The analysis was made with a suitable tool and method to measure patient satisfaction using the SPSS statistical program. In the applied questionnaire, it was tried to determine to what extent the health services were adequate, how satisfied the patients were with the service they received during the service procurement, their degree of satisfaction, and what problems they faced and in which areas. Finally, the analysis results showed a number of important results.
