Abstract (EN)
In this study, improvements in the production and export of fresh fruits and vegetables in the world, Turkey and Hatay province have been investigated. Surveys have been conducted with 21 companies in Hatay which export fresh fruits and vegetables. Based on results of these surveys, general condition of the export and factors which affect fresh fruit and vegetables export have been determined. In addition, the structure of the fresh fruit and vegetables export in Hatay province has been revealed. Furthermore, factors which affect export have been examined. Especially, it was realized that there is a very big bureaucratic obstacle in the export. Therefore export supports must be at the same level as the other countries. Some of the problems related to export may be reduced if bureaucratic processes are made more convenient than their current status.
