Abstract (EN)

As a result of the unpredictable and rapidly developing complex structures of meteorological data in the aviation industry, it is necessary to keep in touch with the ground control units in a controlled manner, which should always be followed in the flight operation, because the effects of meteorology on aircraft are one of the main factors that affecting the flight efficiency of airlines. In terms of flight safety, risks are arising from meteorological side, which require continuous analysis and careful management by the flight crew. On the other hand, crew resource management aims at safe flight operations in the field of international aviation, and it has been tried to prepare pilots for adverse conditions with rigorous training on whether various crew resource management tools and these are sufficient to increase flight efficiency in harsh weather conditions caused by meteorology. In this study, it is aimed to investigate the positive and negative effects of meteorological events on crew resource management in aviation operations in recent years. At the same time, the administrative applications required for a safe flight operation were examined and it was tried to establish a relationship with the crew resource management on the modeling of these applications in the data analysis processes. The aim of this thesis study is to indicate the position of the meteorology factor, which has not been studied academically enough for the crews of commercial flights in our country, on flight safety and crew resource management, together with the accidents and events that took place due to the negative meteorological conditions in the past and it will help to the development of a decision and education system, in order to give a new perspective to the studies planned to be done in this field and in our country. One of the qualitative research methods: face-to-face interview technique was used and data were collected in the light of the information obtained from a pilot pool of 50 people. In the study, the opinions of the crew on what kind of flight management and data analysis application that they carried out were taken and accompanied by questions directed through meteorology, flight safety and crew resource management factors. The collected data were analyzed by content analysis method. As a result of the analysis, it was concluded that theoretical knowledge on stress management and a good analysis of meteorology are of vital importance. It has been evaluated that accidents and incidents that occur indirectly in aviation and in meteorology can be completely prevented, and by drawing attention to the importance of the crew resource management factor, it has been concluded that they can be prevented by working together with advanced meteorology systems and an up-to-date training.
