Abstract (EN)
The Battles of Hazrat Ali, composed to raise public awareness from various perspectives, is a work of the gazavatname genre that emerged in oral tradition narrating the events surrounding Hazrat Ali and was later transcribed into writing, thus preserving its existence to the present day. In this jangnama, presented in both prose and verse, the themes of religion and heroism occupy a significant place. In this study, within The Battles of Hazrat Ali translated by Prof. Dr. Necati Demir and Assist. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Dursun Erdem from Old Anatolian Turkish texts the qualifying adjectives found in the first seven sections are identified and analyzed functionally based on their contextual use. Prepared with the aim of contributing to linguistic studies, the research is structured under three main headings: introduction, adjectives, and analysis. The work under examination consists of the prose version of The Battles of Hazrat Ali.
