Gift exchange and welfare state

The concept of gift and gifting has been evaluated in different ways in terms of each discipline. The exchange of gifts as a form of exchange is also examined in terms of economic anthropology as it is a cultural element applied to serve economic or political purposes. In order to reduce the role of the dominant forces in the market, the welfare state has been researched more and more in recent years as a form of state structuring in which public powers are put into practice consciously and organizedly. In this study, semi-structured interviews were conducted with traditional women's day participants in order to determine the role of reciprocity-based institutionalization in order to generate income and the decline of income with the collapse of the welfare state.
