Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, pollination biology of Heliotropium thermophilum Kit Tan, A. Çelik & Y. Gemici have been studied. This taxon is endemic to Turkey, only known from Sarayköy / Denizli, live in around hot water springs. The real life area (area of occupancy - AOO) of the plant was calculated as 3064 m2 and the total number of individuals in this area was determined as 561. The potential distribution area (extent of occurence - EOO) of the plant was calculated as 28316 m2. Based on these data, IUCN Red List Category has been determined as 'VU: D2'. In the observations of pollinator realized in the field, pollinators, their behaviors, visiting hours, temperature and wind speed wishes are determined. These observations were made in two different periods in August and November, and seasonal differences in quantity and quality of pollinators were determined. In August, 8 species belonging to 5 families were identified as pollinator insects. In November, 24 species belonging to 11 families were identified as pollinator insects. Especially in November observations, it was determined that the density of Lepidoptera members increased and Hymenoptera member Apis mellifera was determined as the most effective pollinator in both periods.
