Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out descriptively with 161 nurses working in a state hospital in order to evaluate the socio-demographic factors affecting the level of technology addiction in nurses. "Personal Information Form" containing demographic data and some personal characteristics of the participants and "Technology Addiction Scale" were used for the research data. The data obtained were analyzed using the SPSS 21.0 package program. It has been determined that 58.4% of the participants are female, 52.2% are between the ages of 26-40, 60.2% are undergraduate and 32.3% spend 5-6 hours a day on social networks. It was observed that the technology addiction scale score of the participants corresponded to the "moderately dependent" category with a score of 69.60, and there was a statistically significant difference between nurses' technological addiction levels and gender, substance use, working time and time spent in social networks (p <0.05). It is recommended that the factors affecting technology addiction should be addressed in a way that includes all healthcare workers, and the subjects such as family environment, social concerns, personal development status, economic status, working conditions, and liking the profession of individuals should be investigated in a more detailed study.
