A study of the relationship between the satisfaction levels of the nurses and the satisfaction levels of the patients that have been treated

The aim of this study is to reveal the relationship between emotional states of nurses and satisfaction levels of inpatient treatment patients. In addition, in the study, the variables such as gender, age, marital status, education level of nurses and patients were investigated on the emotional states of the nurses and on the satisfaction levels of the patients. In the study, 100 nurses working in three different private hospitals in Istanbul and 100 randomly selected patients receiving inpatient treatment in these hospitals were taken. In the study, Personal Information Form was used to learn participants' demographics, Positive-Negative Emotional State and Nurse Care Satisfaction scales were applied to measure variables. Independent Sample T Test, Anova Test and Pearson Correlation Analysis were used in the analysis of collected data. According to the socio-demographic characteristics of the survey; it was found that nursing care satisfaction levels of married patients were higher than that of single patients and nursing care satisfaction levels of university graduates were lower than that of the other patients in terms of nursing care satisfaction levels. Significant results were not obtained according to the socio-demographic characteristics such as gender, age, education level, study duration of the nurses participating in the research. Also; it was observed that as the level of positive mood of the nurses increases, the satisfaction level of the nursing care of the patients also increases. At the end of the study, in the discussion part, the findings were analyzed for the researchers and the patients working in the hospital; it is suggested that the factors affecting the level of satisfaction of the nursing care of the patients should be determined and necessary precautions should be taken.
