Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted to search the impact of pregnancy compliance on health practices in pregnant women with Hyperemesis Gravidarum. The descriptive research was done in the maternity services of the university and state hospitals located in the center of Adana province between July, 2016 and April, 2017. A total of 70 pregnant women who were diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum in maternity services and who met the criteria for participation in the research were included in the study. Personal information form, Health Practices Questionnaire (HPQ) in Pregnancy, and Prenatal Self Evaluation Questionnaire (PSEQ) were used to collect data. SPSS 22.0 was used in the analysis of the data. In the study, it was determined that 35,7 % of pregnants with HG were in the age range of 26-30 years, 31,4 % of them were university graduates and 74,3 % of them were unemployed. It was found that 57,1 % of the pregnants were on the 9th week or over of their pregnancies, 52,9 % of them had two or more pregnancies and 65,7 % of them planned their pregnancies. The PSEQ total mean score of the pregnants with HG was determined as 149,7 ± 26,8. It was found that there was a statistically significant difference between only in terms of income status and planned pregnancy of pregnants with HPQ and PSEQ total score. (p <0.05) The HPQ total mean score of the pregnant women was determined as 116.0 ± 14.0. It was determined that there was a statistically significant difference between HPQ total score and educational level, working status, spouse's education level, family type, income status, social security presence, gestational week, living child existence and planned status of pregnancy of the pregnants with ( p<0.05 ). It was found that there was a significant negative correlation between PCEQ and HPQ (p = 0.000 / r = -0.386). In the study, it was determined that pregnancy adaptations of the pregnants with HG were not good, and as the adjustment to pregnancy increased, the average scores of health practices increased.
