Abstract (EN)

Hyperlipidemia; meaning that cholesterol and triglyceride levels in plasma are higher than normal values. This study, which was conducted to determine the fructose consumption status of people diagnosed with hyperlipidemia, applied to the Çevre Hospital Nutrition and Dietary Polyclinic in Istanbul. The mean age was 40 in women and 44 in men. A total of 80 people, 53 women and 27 men, were employed. The questionnaire was used to determine the personal and nutritional status of the participants by face-to-face interview method. The consumption of food containing high fructose and the consumption of 3-day food consumption of all individuals were evaluated and evaluated. The mean body mass index of the participants was 30.6 ± 5.17 and the daily energy intake was 2037.15 ± 446.8 calories. When we look at the consumption of fructose, it was found that women who were diagnosed with hyperlipidemia consumed 28.51 ± 8.74 g fructose daily and men consumed 35.67 ± 8.81 g fructose, and p value = 0.001. When fructose consumption is examined, it is found that female individuals with a diagnosis of hyperlipidemia consume 28.51 ± 8.74 grams of fructose per day, while men consume 35.67 ± 8.81 grams of fructose, p value = 0.001. The relationship between BMI and daily fructose consumption was significant. (p = 0.037). 47.2% of women and 74.1% of men consume 30 g or more of fructose. Many studies are needed to calculate the total amount of added sugar by calculating glucose and sucrose.
