Abstract (EN)
Hematopoietic- and neurologic-expressed sequence 1 (HN1) is a conserved protein among vertebrates and exhibits a critical role in cell cycle and centrosome maturation. In this study, human prostate cancer cell line, PC-3, has been used as a model to study the functional role of HN1. We observed that HN1 has an influence on the proteins involved in mitotic stage and also centrosome maturation, such as the proteins, MAD2, Aurora kinases and also the interacting proteins of APC/C, like CDC20 and CDH1. Although the connection between HN1 and these proteins is still unclear, it is thought that HN1 can influence the protein levels directly or indirectly and takes a central role in centrosome maturation.
